Some of the pictures displayed here are decidedly fantasy. After all, who has ever seen a horse with batwings? Others may look like fantasy, but to me, they symbolize something that is very real. Then there are others that don't really have elements that would be considered fantasy, but they could tell a story, because the people depicted are in various settings or situations meant to convey a mood, or excite the imagination. Viewers can make up their own stories about a given picture. "What is that person thinking? What are they going to do next? Where are they going and why?" etc.
