Art Review from Healing Power of Color Art Exhibit 2023

Judy Hatlen’s
awe-inspiring, light-filled paintings exude her buoyant joie de vivre and
optimistic philosophy. She accentuates the best characteristics of her subjects
and celebrates the miraculous beauty that exists in our world. Classic realism,
smooth flowing forms, and a symphonic harmony of vibrant colors are a few of
her many superb stylistic attributes that represent her innate creative vision.
Judy’s ebullient paintings of flowers and butterflies with their exquisite details and textures enliven our senses. Her euphoric rural landscapes transport us to idealized realms of ease, calm and nostalgia. Resplendent sundrenched panoramic views expand our positive perspective. Her portraits of people, animals, and wildlife evoke an impenetrable loving charm and affection
. The manner in which Judy captures freshly fallen snow, crisp autumn leaves, and sunlit summer vistas pay reverence to the seasons and remind us to cherish every phase of life. And her symbolic touches, such as reflections of the night sky in the eyes of an owl, offer magical discoveries that transcend the physical realm.
Throughout Judy’s paintings we feel her strength rising from an indwelling faith in a divine presence. Her artistic expression of the resounding voice of spiritual wisdom is a healing gift she shares. Her art rescues us from the pervasive negative influences caused by universal chaos, turmoil and fear and transports us to conscious awakenings of renewal, serenity, and hope.

privilege to include Judy’s life-affirming works of art artwork in the
exhibitions I have curated: “The Healing Power of ART Inspired by NATURE”; “The
Healing Power of Color”; and “HerStory”; all in 2023.
