I painted this from photos I took at Beckman Mill Park in their beautiful flower garden. The top one is a monarch, and the one in the foreground is a fritillary.

Fragile life forms such as hummingbirds and butterflies cannot exist in chaos, or toxic physical environments; therefore, the sight of one of these creatures is a good indication of peaceful, healthy surroundings. Research shows art that’s positive and life-affirming has a beneficial effect on the overall health of those who have it in their living space. I create my paintings with this in mind.
