The Journey-Dusk
"The Journey-Dusk" is the second in a series. Dusk settles in as the traveler trudges down the tracks. Sounds of nocturnal creatures can be heard, as the animals stir from their slumber. The hoot of an owl floats in from someplace up ahead, and an opossum scurries into the brush. The traveler knows there's nothing to fear from the wildlife. On the journey, the occasional peaceful wooded areas, and small lakes or streams offered a place for a brief rest. But mostly, the tracks seemed surrounded by wasteland, marsh, and lifeless trees. The destination is nowhere in sight. The traveler must keep going.
