Wildlife is Worth Preserving
When I was a child, seeing a deer across the field through the kitchen window was a relatively rare event. Now, with awareness and efforts to protect wildlife, much is returning to our area. The wildlife artist I most admire is Owen Gromme. He was a true wildlife artist. He set up photography blinds in the fields and forest to get first hand photographs to inform his work. He is an inspiration to me. I don't pretend to be a "wildlife artist" as such, but I do value the wildlife, and because of that, I enjoy depicting it in many of my paintings and drawings.
